drew a crazy baby last night

I won't post her yet. She is not fit for eyes, and I must make her so. :-)
But here are some sketches from a life drawing class I took at ACA back in '97. There was some powerful energy going on between the mother and baby during this session. What a treat to get to document it! I have an idea!! I'll ask my friend KP, who just had a lil one, if I can sketch her and her new son. How cool would that be???

2011 resolution

Here is my public proclamation...
I resolve to everyday do something to keep art alive in my life. Possibilities for making this happen include but are not limited to:
-drawing
-painting
-cutting
-gluing
-read book about art
-clean up studio
-collect inspiring images
-organize inspiring collection
-work on blog
-go to the museum or to a show

So yesterday I made this resolution and the art thing I did was read some more of the book below....
This is a page-turner.
And today I started a new portrait commission with much trepidation. But the focus is on the process, not the product.
